What a wonderful weekend I just had. I was worried that since we didn’t have any solid plans it was going to be kind of a bust, but we ended up making the most of it and I woke up this morning beat from all we did. It started off Friday not so great. I had a co workers going away party that I put together, we had a few drinks and a bunch of appetizers and then out of no where my stomach dropped. Leaving hastily I made it home in record time to be sick for the rest of the night. I was nervous when I woke up Saturday morning, I had a wax appointment at 10 but didn’t want to be sick the whole time, luckily my stomach had calmed down so I headed over. When I got back the boyfriend and I packed up the car and headed out mountain biking.
I was so much more worn out this time than last time which made me a little discouraged by the boyfriend reminded me that what I was doing was still hard work and I should be proud of myself. It was a great time and I did work up a huge sweat. We came out of the trails and went and explored a little and found a fantastic pond.
We were both wishing we had our swim suits so we could jump in and cool off. Great to know for next time!
After heading home and showering we were famished so into Boston we went for an early dinner. I knew he wanted to keep it low key so I picked out a brick oven pizza place to try. It was called Woody’s Grill and Tap and it had a huge selection of beers and brick oven pizzas. I was undecided between a clam and bacon pizza and the wild mushroom pizza, so the server chose the wild mushroom one for me.
It was really good but I think I would have liked the salty smokey bacon more. Oh well I guess I’ll just have to go back and get another one! After getting another drink at a bar down the road we decided to head home and call it a night, I was sound asleep before 10:30. We woke up the next day and I didn’t want to waste a beautiful day sitting inside so I got a coffee to enjoy on my back deck.
While I was out there catching up on some blogs I hatched a plan to get the boyfriend to do something outside. I came up with either the beach or some more bike riding. I thought he would go for the beach to get some down time but he was up for more biking so we headed about 20 minutes away to the start of a 15 mile bike trial.
I didn’t think we would do the whole thing but the boyfriend was feeling it so we were off. I felt great the whole way down but about halfway back I started to get tired! By the time we reached the car and had gone 30 miles I was totally done. I love exercising to exhaustion though and felt great!
The night was then spent cleaning, doing laundry and relaxing. I thought I would have a hard time falling asleep, but the second my head hit the pillow I was out.
Two more work days and I’m officially on vacation!
Do you like bike riding?
