Holy cow am I tired! Do you remember the days when you could stay up all hours and not have it effect you at all? Well friends, I am beyond those days, I am pooped! This weekend was all about Kaelyn and her upcoming wedding to Paul. I was so excited to head out to the Poconos for the weekend and hang out with the ladies for the weekend, as well as meet some new friends. The best thing about my friends is I always love their close friends when I meet them.
I headed down Saturday morning, though a four hour drive isn’t ideal it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I got to the house and quickly snapped a few shots before the guest arrived of all the hard work Kaelyn’s mom and her maid-of-honor had done.
I loved all the attention to detail, down to individual wine charms they made. Her colors, if you couldn’t tell, are purple and she is doing a chalkboard theme which I love. Even though the shower was over four hours it felt like it just flew by with all the games we played and the laid back feeling of being in someones home. My favorite game was a twist on this game we played at Erin’s bachelorette, yet instead of a jello shot it was more appropriate for a shower with gumballs in her mouth or candy rings.
After the first game there was some present opening.
Finally the shower wrapped up and then all Kaelyn’s close friends went to a house her mom had rented for us at Woodloch. The place is amazing and the house was huge!
We continued to have wine and beers and things started to get silly.
Finally at 4 in the morning I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore so I went to bed but I was only the second one to turn in. The party went on until the early hours, it was a blast. I can’t wait for NYC with the wonderful lady and then her big day.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
