Yesterday morning started off with another morning workout, this time I only had 30 minutes so I did an Elliptical workout I found on PBFingers. I thought it was going to be a nice easy workout because I’ve never really had a hard time on the Elliptical, but apparently I wasn’t playing with the resistance and cross ramp correctly because about 5 minutes into the workout I was drenched in sweat. I really liked what she laid out though because I was constantly changing things and didn’t get bored through the whole 30 minutes. I also had a great playlist going which helped when I got up to the 15 resistance level.
When I arrived to work I was famished so I went into my bag to get my yogurt and found that my boyfriend had packed Cheez-Its for me. It was a very sweet surprise to find as, like my grandfather was, I’m a Cheez-It monster. I told myself I was going to wait until mid morning or after lunch before I ate them, but they didn’t last longer than 10:00.
For lunch I had packed the remainder or the salad from the night before and the pasta all in one container. Since there wasn’t that much sauce on the pasta and I knew I loved UNOs Honey Mustard Chicken Salad, which has pasta in it I knew I would love this lunch. It was absolutely delicious, but I have to admit my coworker was a little grossed out at what I was eating. He also was grossed out when I ate pink pasta though so I wasn’t too worried.
After work I went home and since there is still a lot of road closures in Boston it took me forever to get there. It was crazy because the mileage is less than half of what I use to drive to get to Ocean Spray but the timing is about as long. I always say I’m going to move out of the area to be closer to work but last year looking at apartments I realized I have a pretty decent apartment for what I pay. It’s either move to the burbs like some of my friends are doing or deal with it, and right now I choose to deal with it. Being frustrated with how long it took to get home I decided to get sushi for dinner though. I was going to try a new place, but didn’t want to wait for them to deliver or venture out into the horrible traffic again so I got it from Fin’s, which is my trusty sushi place. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had but I have always had good food so I continue to go there. It helps that they are a five minute walk from my apartment too.
What is your favorite food to get for takeout and do you make it a special occasion?
My favorite is Indian, and I do make it a special occasion because I eat so much of it. I’m really trying to work on stopping before I get stuffed and having leftovers the next day.
